Forgiveness and Justice

There are many models and explorations of conflict, the most severe and large scale being war. But there are fewer stories of what happens when the conflict is over. We are interested in what happens next. If reconciliation between perpetrators and victims is deemed necessary for peace, what are the necessary components for Justice? What kind? Forgiveness? What kind? By whom? We have chosen in this film to delve into the worst of us, to discover a new way forward, a third way to reconciliation after we have suffered personal or political trauma that walks the tightrope between forgiveness and justice.
